Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling systems
• Install access control devices, door hardware, card readers, and CCTV cameras
• Pull and route Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and other low voltage cabling
• Install and support commercial access control, CCTV, and structured cabling systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Test installed cabling and ensure all systems are operating properly
• Troubleshoot wiring issues, power problems, lock failures, and communication issues between field devices and controllers
• Work safely on ladders and lifts in commercial and industrial environments
• Maintain a clean and organized job site while following all safety guidelines
• Support additional low voltage projects at schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, and industrial facilities

Requirements:

• 2+ years of commercial low voltage installation experience
• Experience installing structured cabling, access control, and CCTV systems
• Ability to terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling
• Working knowledge of telecom and data networks is a plus
• Comfortable using a multimeter to diagnose power, voltage, continuity, and device issues in the field
• Solid understanding of relays and how they function within access control and security systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify wiring issues, power failures, lock failures, relay issues, and communication problems between field devices and controllers
• Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spaces
• OSHA, Lift, BICSI, or manufacturer certifications are a plus
• Must have basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites throughout Louisiana as needed
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to grow within the company
