Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and facilitate access control and surveillance system projects from concept to completion
- Conduct on-site walk-throughs and system surveys to evaluate project scope and requirements
- Understand and interpret system design layouts including access control, CCTV, and door hardware integration
- Evaluate and compare door hardware components (locks, frames, handles, mag locks, electric strikes, etc.) for compatibility and function
- Work closely with project managers, installers, and clients to ensure accurate system design and execution
- Review job sites and verify install readiness prior to deployment of field technicians
- Support troubleshooting and design adjustments during active installations
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and security requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in access control, CCTV, or low voltage systems (installation, design, or engineering)
- Strong understanding of door hardware (locks, frames, handles, mag locks, electric strikes, etc.)
- Experience with system design, layout interpretation, or field engineering preferred
- Ability to perform detailed site surveys and walk-throughs
- Knowledge of access control and surveillance systems and how components integrate
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with field teams and project stakeholders
- Willingness to travel within the Dallas–Fort Worth area as needed
