Responsibilities
- Install, program, test, and service access control systems including controllers, readers, locks, and door hardware
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV/video surveillance systems (IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, VMS platforms)
- Pull, route, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling (CAT5e/CAT6, coax, composite)
- Assist with or perform system programming, configuration, and integration
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Perform system commissioning, inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Document installations, service work, and system configurations
- Provide basic end-user training and system handoff
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Requirements
- 0–5+ years of low voltage, security, or access control experience (all levels considered)
- Experience with access control, CCTV, or structured cabling
- Basic understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP, PoE; VLANs a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and system layouts
- Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, ladders, and lifts
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with systems such as Verkada, Avigilon, Axis, LenelS2, Milestone, Paxton, or Software House (C•CURE)
- Experience with cloud-based or enterprise security platforms
- Experience with intercoms, intrusion detection, or additional low voltage systems
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
