Access Control/Parking System Technician

  Key Responsibilities:

As a Parking System Technician, you will:

• Install and configure automated parking access control systems, including:

  • Ticket dispensers

  • Exit/payment stations

  • Barrier gates

  • Intercoms

  • LPR (License Plate Recognition) cameras

  • Card readers and proximity devices

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and software issues.

• Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations.

• Integrate systems with access control, surveillance, and networking platforms.

• Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and site layouts.

• Provide on-site technical support and document all service activities.

• Maintain an organized inventory of tools and parts.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers for seamless installations.

• Train end users on system use and basic troubleshooting.

  Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in parking systems, access control, or low-voltage installation.

• Familiarity with parking equipment from leading manufacturers such as:

  • TIBA, Amano, HUB, WPS, SKIDATA, Scheidt & Bachmann , etc.

• Proficient in:

  • Low-voltage electrical systems (12V/24V DC)

  • Basic networking (IP configuration, cabling, switches)

  • Software setup and remote diagnostics

  Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., TIBA Certified Installer)

• IT/networking fundamentals (Windows OS, remote desktop tools)

• OSHA 10/30 certification

• Experience with fiber optic cable installation and conduit routing

• Familiarity with parking software platforms and reporting tools
