Low Voltage Cable Technician Responsibilities
Pull, terminate, dress and label CAT5e/6 cable
Test installed cable using proper testing equipment
Punch down voice and data jacks
Install/terminate racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF/IDF, workstation outlets, firestopping, etc.
Work from ladders and lifts (must be comfortable with heights)
Read and interpret general system layouts and blueprints
Requirements
2+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience
BICSI Installer or Technician certification is required
Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
