NLT is seeking a skilled Electrical BIM Modeler to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting the design, coordination, and documentation of complex electrical systems for commercial and industrial construction projects . The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proficient in Autodesk Revit , working closely with internal engineering teams and external trade partners to produce accurate 3D models and construction documents that support project delivery and field installation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit .

  • Interpret engineering drawings, redlines, and sketches to create accurate 3D and 2D models.

  • Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil teams to ensure design accuracy and resolve model conflicts.

  • Perform clash detection and participate in model coordination meetings.

  • Assist in developing construction documents, prefab drawings, and as-built models .

  • Produce Trimble point layout drawings to support field layout and installation.

  • Support ongoing BIM standards development and project coordination workflows.


Qualifications

  • Degree or certification in Building Information Modeling, Computer Graphics Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology , or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Revu .

  • Familiarity with EVOLVE MEP and Trimble RTS units preferred.

  • Prior electrical construction or low-voltage systems experience strongly desired.

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient in BIM coordination and model-based workflows .

  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and field coordination.

  • Effective time management , written communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Comfortable working in both office and field environments (approximately 90% office / 10% site).

  • Must be able to climb stairs and walk job sites as needed.
