Business Development Manager - Charlotte, NC
Next Level Technician is seeking a Business Development Manager in Charlotte, NC to help expand our presence in the data center and infrastructure market.
The ideal candidate has direct experience working with general contractors, electrical contractors, low-voltage contractors, fiber providers, owner representatives, or other organizations involved in data center construction and infrastructure projects.
This role is focused on developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping win new cabling, fiber, and infrastructure work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, owner representatives, and other key decision makers
- Identify upcoming data center, fiber, cabling, and infrastructure opportunities
- Get involved in projects before they reach the open bidding stage
- Create introductions and open doors within the data center and construction ecosystem
- Work alongside our estimating, operations, and leadership teams to pursue and close opportunities
- Help expand our presence within the data center infrastructure market
Required Background
- Experience working with or selling into the data center construction industry
- Experience working with general contractors, electrical contractors, infrastructure contractors, or owner-side teams
- Understanding of how infrastructure, cabling, fiber, and low-voltage projects are sourced and awarded
- Existing industry relationships and network preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong aptitude for working with new technology stacks, including AI, Google Sheets, and ZoomInfo.
Compensation
- Commensurate with experience
- Base salary plus commission
- Significant incentive compensation available for originating and closing new infrastructure opportunities
- Path to a long-term leadership role for the right candidate
