Job Summary:
We are seeking dependable, experienced Data Center Technicians to support structured cabling installations in a high-demand, mission-critical data center environment. This role requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to perform consistently during long shifts in a fast-paced setting.
Candidates must have proven experience terminating Cat6 and fiber optic cables, building out data closets, and working independently as well as collaboratively with a crew. Dependability is essential, as these projects operate on tight schedules and require trusted team members to deliver quality work.
Applicants must be willing and able to work significant overtime , including long hours, nights, and weekends as needed to meet project demands. Must be open to long hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test Cat6 and fiber optic cables (single mode and multi-mode)

Build out and organize data closets/MDFs/IDFs including rack and cabinet installation, cable management, patch panels, and grounding

Read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, and scope-of-work documentation

Perform cable dressing, labeling, and documentation according to industry and customer standards

Conduct cable testing and certification using industry tools (e.g., Fluke testers)

Follow strict safety protocols and work efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlines

Collaborate with project leads and other technicians to complete installations and resolve on-site challenges
Qualifications:
-
2+ years of experience in low voltage cabling, ideally within data centers

Proficiency in terminating Cat6 and fiber optic cables

Strong understanding of data closet build-outs

Familiarity with Leviton products is a strong plus

Ability to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends as required

OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

Must be able to pass background and drug screening if required by site
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces

Stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Preferred Experience:

Experience working on large-scale commercial or mission-critical environments

Manufacturer certifications (Leviton, Panduit, Corning, etc.) are a plus
