Job Summary:

We are seeking dependable, experienced Data Center Technicians to support structured cabling installations in a high-demand, mission-critical data center environment. This role requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to perform consistently during long shifts in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates must have proven experience terminating Cat6 and fiber optic cables, building out data closets, and working independently as well as collaboratively with a crew. Dependability is essential, as these projects operate on tight schedules and require trusted team members to deliver quality work.

Applicants must be willing and able to work significant overtime , including long hours, nights, and weekends as needed to meet project demands.  Must be open to long hours, including nights and weekends as needed.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, terminate, and test Cat6 and fiber optic cables (single mode and multi-mode)

  • Build out and organize data closets/MDFs/IDFs including rack and cabinet installation, cable management, patch panels, and grounding

  • Read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, and scope-of-work documentation

  • Perform cable dressing, labeling, and documentation according to industry and customer standards

  • Conduct cable testing and certification using industry tools (e.g., Fluke testers)

  • Follow strict safety protocols and work efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlines

  • Collaborate with project leads and other technicians to complete installations and resolve on-site challenges


Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in low voltage cabling, ideally within data centers

  • Proficiency in terminating Cat6 and fiber optic cables

  • Strong understanding of data closet build-outs

  • Familiarity with Leviton products is a strong plus

  • Ability to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends as required

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening if required by site


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces

  • Stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift


Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial or mission-critical environments

  • Manufacturer certifications (Leviton, Panduit, Corning, etc.) are a plus
