POSITION PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Production Lead, the Custom Modified Assembler III position is filled by a full time employee training in a custom modified assembly area, learning custom modified assembly skills and blueprint reading. The Custom Modified Assembler III assembles products ensuring the highest possible quality at the lowest possible cost, while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements and company performance standards, in accordance with the organization's Code Of Conduct and Operating and Guiding Principles,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet the requirements of the Lakeside Vision Statement and Guiding Principles. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes harmonious relationships among customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors
- Develop, interpret and ensure the consistent application of organizational policies
- Maintain safe work environment by managing adherence to company safety policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices
- Assemble custom parts to one another by tightening nuts, bolts, screws, by riveting or spot welding parts together.
- Minor Electrical (electrical plugs)
- Minor Plumbing (PVC & Copper)
- Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings to assemble products.
- Operate the computer to enter work orders and print labels.
- Inspect parts and products for quality standards.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

ABILITIES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous related experience is preferred.
- Must be able to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
- Must be able to operate hand tools and perform data entry on computer.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to successfully pass forklift certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
