DAS Technician – Distributed Antenna Systems | Colorado City, TX & Houston, TX

Position Details

  • Pay: $24–$34/hour DOE
  • Travel Position – Travel throughout Texas as needed.
  • Per Diem Provided while traveling.
  • Hotel Accommodations Provided.
  • Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Approximately 20 hours of overtime each week.
  • Work will include both indoor and outdoor commercial installations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Install and mount DAS antennas, remote units, splitters, directional couplers, and associated RF equipment.
  • Pull, route, terminate, and test coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, Cat5e/Cat6, and low-voltage cabling.
  • Install cable tray, ladder rack, j-hooks, conduit, and other cable support systems.
  • Assist with commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting DAS infrastructure and antenna systems.
  • Read and interpret RF drawings, blueprints, floor plans, and installation schematics.
  • Install and support supporting low-voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, and structured cabling when needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation while ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial DAS, wireless infrastructure, or low-voltage installation experience.
  • Experience installing Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and working with antenna systems.
  • Experience pulling and terminating coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, and Cat5e/Cat6.
  • Ability to read RF drawings, blueprints, and wiring schematics.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications, wireless infrastructure, and commercial construction environments.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts.
  • Fiber splicing experience is a plus.
  • BICSI, OSHA-10/30, Lift Certifications, RF, or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
  • Must have basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots).
  • Willingness to travel throughout Texas as needed.
