Responsibilities:
- Following cut sheets to determine where fiber trunks are installed in a data center,
- Experience with a Fluke or an EXFO tester to test fiber.

Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic links and networks

Read and interpret fiber optic system blueprints, layouts, and splice diagrams
-
Install fiber patch panels, enclosures, and related infrastructure

Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)

Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites (schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, etc.)
Requirements:
-
2+ years of commercial fiber optic installation/splicing experience

Experience with OTDR, power meter, and fiber test equipment
-
Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
-
BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
-
Manufacturer or FOA (Fiber Optic Association) certifications a plus

Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
