Data Center Superintendent - Charlotte, NC
Next Level Technician is seeking a Data Center Superintendent in Charlotte, NC to oversee and manage the execution of data center cabling, fiber optic, and low-voltage infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate has direct experience supervising data center construction projects and coordinating with general contractors, electrical contractors, owner representatives, and other trades. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards while serving as the primary field leader on site.
Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day field operations for data center, fiber optic, structured cabling, and low-voltage infrastructure projects

Coordinate with general contractors, electrical contractors, project managers, owner representatives, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution

Manage site schedules, manpower planning, and material coordination

Ensure all work is performed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements

Lead and supervise field technicians, foremen, and subcontractors

Conduct site walkthroughs, progress meetings, and safety meetings
-
Identify and resolve project challenges while minimizing delays and disruptions
-
Monitor project milestones and provide regular status updates to operations and leadership teams
-
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and field records

Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence on all job sites
Required Background
-
Experience as a Superintendent, Senior Foreman, Construction Manager, or similar leadership role within the data center, electrical, fiber optic, or low-voltage industry

Experience managing field operations on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects

Strong understanding of structured cabling, fiber optic installations, low-voltage systems, and data center environments

Experience working with general contractors, electrical contractors, owner representatives, and project stakeholders

Proven ability to lead teams, manage schedules, and coordinate multiple project activities simultaneously

Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and job site compliance requirements

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Strong aptitude for working with new technology stacks, including AI, Google Sheets, project management software, and reporting tools
