What You’ll Be Doing:-
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and design documents to execute low voltage installations.

Pull, label, and terminate all types of low voltage cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, and coax.

Terminate and test copper and fiber cables to ensure performance standards are met.

Maintain clean and accurate documentation, including test results and service reports.

Build out MDF/IDF closets: install and dress cable, racks, ladder trays, and seismic bracing.

Fusion splice (ribbon and single fiber), furcate trunks, and prepare for splicing as needed.

Use DSX 5000 and OTDR testers; program and upload results via Linkware/Linkware Live.

Conduct copper testing and troubleshooting; identify and separate decom cables from live runs.

Install and swap networking devices, including live service swaps, in data center environments.

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsite.

Communicate with project leadership and take direction from Technicians, Leads, and Supervisors.

Contribute to service jobs by running calls and providing outstanding customer support.

Experience with field terminations, labeling standards, and structured cabling systems.

Strong understanding of copper and fiber cable systems and the tools used to test them.

Ability to install, brace, and manage ladder racking both above ceiling and under raised floors.

Comfortable working in data center environments and around active networks.

Familiarity with creating mass labels, using port maps, and operating scanning systems.

Experience with Fusion Splicing, OTDR testing, and DSX 5000 operation.

Basic understanding of FIM databases and network documentation.

Solid organizational skills and the ability to complete paperwork accurately and timely.

Customer service mindset and ability to represent NLT on active job sites.

2+ years in low voltage, structured cabling, or telecom field work.

Certifications in fiber splicing, testing, or BICSI preferred (not required).

Experience working independently or as a lead on service or project-based jobs.
