Next Level Technician is actively hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Low Voltage Systems Designer to support large-scale infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team where your expertise in structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, and system layout will directly impact mission-critical projects.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to bring designs to life — from concept to implementation — while staying grounded in industry standards and field-proven techniques.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design structured cabling systems, access control, and surveillance layouts to meet client and project specs.

  • Oversee the integration of telecom and security systems into new builds and retrofits.

  • Conduct field surveys and site assessments to ensure accurate, code-compliant designs.

  • Create installation drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD or similar tools.

  • Collaborate with techs, PMs, subs, and clients to ensure designs are practical, scalable, and installable.

  • Ensure cable runs, terminations, and labeling meet BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA standards.

  • Guide proper rack layout, power planning, and switch configurations.

  • Support install teams with documentation and training to uphold quality and safety standards.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • RCDD Certification (Required)

  • BICSI DCDC Certification (Preferred but not required)

  • 5+ years of experience in structured cabling, access control, and surveillance system design.

  • In-depth knowledge of Cat5e, Cat6/6A, and fiber optic systems.

  • Comfortable designing for dense environments like data centers and secure facilities.

  • Strong understanding of electrical code, rack layout, and cooling/power distribution (UPS/generators).

  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software.

  • Hands-on knowledge of IP networking, switch configs, and system integration.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

  • Able to manage multiple projects and adjust quickly to changes in project scope or priority.

What You’ll Love:

  • Opportunities to grow and lead within advanced infrastructure projects.

  • Joining a team where your ideas and expertise are valued from day one.

  • Supportive leadership that wants to see you succeed long-term.

  • Competitive pay, steady work, and a clear path for professional development.
