Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial electrical wiring, circuits, outlets, panels, lighting systems, transformers, junction boxes, and electrical devices.
- Perform light commercial electrical work in active healthcare facilities and other occupied commercial environments.
- Install, troubleshoot, and support low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, data infrastructure, and related low-voltage devices as project needs require.
- Transition between electrical and low-voltage work throughout the day based on project demands.
- Bend and install conduit (EMT, PVC, Rigid/Rob Roy) ranging from ¼" to 4".
- Perform accurate conduit bends including 90s, 45s, offsets, and saddles using hand or hydraulic benders.
- Install and secure cable tray systems according to project specifications and electrical code.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, breakers, devices, and related components to identify and resolve issues
- Read and interpret electrical and low-voltage blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Work professionally alongside doctors, nurses, hospital staff, facility personnel, and other trades in occupied healthcare environments
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company best practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while properly utilizing PPE
- Travel to local customer job sites throughout the Nashville area as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial electrical experience required
- Journeyman Electrician License highly preferred, but not required
- Valid electrical license or certification if required locally
- Experience in commercial or industrial electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Willingness to perform both electrical and low-voltage work without preference for one trade over the other
- Experience with structured cabling, fiber optics, data infrastructure, or other low-voltage systems is highly preferred.
- Strong conduit installation experience, including EMT, PVC, Rigid/Rob Roy, conduit bending (90s, 45s, offsets, and saddles), and cable tray installation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and low-voltage blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience working in occupied commercial environments is preferred, with hospital or healthcare facility experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working in a hot environment approximately 90% of the time.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills and the ability to work respectfully around doctors, nurses, patients, administrators, and other hospital personnel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, and steel-toe boots)
- Ability to travel locally between customer job sites as needed
