General Summary

The Entry-Level CNC Operator is responsible for operating and assisting with computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce quality machined parts. This position is ideal for individuals looking to begin or grow their career in manufacturing. Candidates should have a basic understanding of precision measuring tools and a strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety standards are met.


Primary Duties

  • Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure proper function and consistent product quality.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform basic inspections of finished parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
  • Report any machine issues, defects, or production concerns to supervisors.
  • Assist with other general production or shop duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding and ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to learn CNC operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
