Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling (single mode and multi-mode)
-
Perform fiber splicing (fusion and mechanical) and OTDR testing
-
Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic links and networks
-
Read and interpret fiber optic system blueprints, layouts, and splice diagrams
-
Install fiber patch panels, enclosures, and related infrastructure
-
Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
-
Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites (schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, etc.)
Requirements:
-
3+ years of commercial fiber optic installation/splicing experience
-
Experience with OTDR, power meter, and fiber test equipment
-
Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
-
BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
-
Manufacturer or FOA (Fiber Optic Association) certifications a plus
-
Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
-
Willingness to travel to job sites within Texas as needed
