Fiber Technician – Spartanburg, SC

Responsibilities:
- Pull, route, dress, and label fiber optic cable
- Terminate single-mode and multimode fiber
- Perform fusion splicing and maintain splice documentation
- Test fiber using OTDRs, OLTS, power meters, and light sources
- Troubleshoot fiber connectivity issues and resolve deficiencies
- Install fiber enclosures, patch panels, cassettes, and racks
- Read and interpret blueprints, fiber routing drawings, and splice documentation
- Maintain accurate labeling and documentation throughout the project
- Follow all OSHA and site safety requirements while maintaining clean, professional installations
Requirements:
- 2+ years of commercial fiber optic installation experience
- Experience pulling, terminating, testing, and fusion splicing fiber optic cable
- Proficient using OTDRs and fiber testing equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and fiber routing drawings
- OSHA 10 Certification (Required)
- Valid Driver's License
- Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, steel-toe boots)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
