Lead Access Control & CCTV Technician – San Antonio, Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform security system installations, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Install, troubleshoot, and support access control systems including controllers, readers, mag locks, electric strikes, and door hardware
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot CCTV systems, cameras, and recording equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve security system issues in commercial environments
  • Program and commission security and access control devices as needed
  • Read and interpret access control, CCTV, and low voltage blueprints
  • Lead jobsite activities and ensure installations are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate with customers, project managers, and team members to provide project updates and resolve issues
  • Perform testing and quality checks to ensure systems are operating properly
  • Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites including schools, hospitals, offices, and warehouses
  • Travel throughout Southern Texas as needed for projects
  • Work overnight shifts when required based on project needs

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on commercial security installation experience preferred
  • Must have heavy experience working with security systems and be a true security technician
  • Strong experience with:
    • Access Control Systems
    • CCTV Systems
    • Security Hardware
    • Troubleshooting and Service
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting door hardware including mag locks, electric strikes, and related components
  • Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
  • Programming experience with access control and CCTV systems is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have your own basic hand tools and PPE:
    • Hard hat
    • Safety glasses
    • Gloves
    • Hi-vis vest
    • Steel-toe boots
  • Must be comfortable traveling throughout Southern Texas when applicable
  • Must be available for overnight shifts when required
  • Manufacturer certifications, BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
