Lead Access Control Technician – Carrollton, TX
Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, service, and program/commission access control and security systems
Install door hardware including mag locks, electric strikes, crash bars, REX devices, and related hardware
Install, service, and troubleshoot CCTV systems
Read and interpret access control and CCTV blueprints
Troubleshoot systems and identify issues in the field
Provide clear updates and communicate jobsite issues to Project Managers
Work directly with customers and maintain a professional presence on-site
Work safely on ladders/lifts and be comfortable with heights
Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites
Requirements:
Solid commercial low-voltage experience, with a strong background in access control
Stable work history — not frequent job changes
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Comfortable interacting directly with customers
Ability to understand jobsite conditions and clearly communicate updates/issues to Project Managers
Professional presentation and behavior
Strong technical skills and troubleshooting ability
Experience with access control and CCTV systems
Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
Programming/commissioning experience is a plus
Manufacturer certifications, BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
Basic hand tools and PPE required
Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
