Lead Access Control Technician - Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Next Level Technician is seeking an experienced Lead Access Control Technician to support commercial security projects throughout the DFW area. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong experience in access control, CCTV, and security integrations who can lead projects in the field and work independently with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in access control and electronic security systems and be comfortable handling programming, troubleshooting, installations, and project coordination onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and service access control and CCTV systems
- Configure and program access control systems and cameras
- Work with Video Insight and other security platforms
- Lead field installations and oversee project progress onsite
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction drawings
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support in the field
- Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines
- Coordinate with project managers, customers, and field teams
- Maintain professionalism and strong communication onsite
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in access control and CCTV/security systems
- Strong troubleshooting and programming experience
- Experience with Video Insight preferred
- Ability to work independently and lead projects
- Experience reading blueprints and managing field installations
- Strong understanding of low-voltage systems and structured cabling
- Professional communication and leadership skills
- Reliable transportation and standard technician tools
Preferred Experience:
- Commercial construction environments
- Access control integrations and system configuration
- Leading crews or mentoring junior technicians
- Experience with multiple security platforms and camera systems
Compensation:
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Target range: $32–$45/hour
