Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise onsite CCTV and low voltage teams (3–5 technicians), ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards
- Serve as the primary onsite lead for CCTV system installations and upgrades
- Manage daily job tasks, labor pacing, and coordination to meet project schedules
- Install, mount, terminate, and configure CCTV cameras (IP & analog), NVRs/DVRs, head-end equipment, and supporting infrastructure
- Pull, dress, terminate, and label CAT5e/CAT6 and security cabling
- Test and troubleshoot CCTV, network, and low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance
- Interpret blueprints, CCTV layouts, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades as needed
- Perform system walk-throughs, testing, and basic commissioning support
- Safely operate ladders and lifts of all sizes (must be comfortable working at heights)
- Resolve onsite technical issues and mentor junior technicians
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial low voltage experience , with a strong focus on CCTV systems
- Proven leadership or lead technician experience overseeing crews or projects
- Extensive hands-on experience with IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, PoE switches, and networked CCTV systems
- Strong working knowledge of structured cabling, networking fundamentals, and security systems
- Ability to read and work independently from security drawings and blueprints
- BICSI, Lift, OSHA, or manufacturer CCTV certifications a plus
- Must supply basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Willingness to travel to job sites within Dallas, Texas as needed
