Responsibilities
- Lead and support low voltage technicians in the field
- Pull, route, dress and terminate CAT5e/CAT6
- Terminate jacks and patch panels
- Install racks, cabinets, J-hooks and pathway
- Complete MDF/IDF buildouts
- Test and troubleshoot structured cabling
- Read prints and lay out work for assigned areas
- Monitor installation quality and productivity
- Communicate progress and material needs with project leadership
Requirements
- 4+ years commercial structured cabling experience preferred
- Previous Lead Technician experience
- Strong CAT5e/CAT6 installation and termination skills
- Testing and troubleshooting experience
- MDF/IDF, racks and patch panel experience
- Ability to read prints and lay out work
- Ability to lead and provide direction to other technicians
- Basic low voltage hand tools and PPE
- Reliable transportation
- Fiber, access control and CCTV experience a plus
- OSHA 10 / Lift certifications preferred
