Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct onsite teams of low voltage technicians while ensuring quality workmanship and safety standards
- Install, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
- Test installed cable using Fluke or similar testing equipment
- Punch down voice and data jacks and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Install and terminate racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, and workstation outlets
- Read and interpret blueprints, system layouts, schematics, and technical drawings
- Support installations involving access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems
- Coordinate daily project activities to help ensure projects stay on schedule
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues onsite as needed
- Safely operate ladders and lifts while working in commercial and industrial environments
Requirements:
- Minimum 4+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience
- Previous lead technician or crew leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling and telecom/data infrastructure
- Ability to read prints and work independently in the field
- Experience leading crews and communicating with project managers onsite
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications highly preferred
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus
- Must have basic hand tools and standard PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the DFW area as needed
