Next Level Technician is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Service Technician to join our growing security integration team in Dallas, TX . This role involves installing, programming, servicing, and maintaining access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection , and other low voltage security solutions. Ideal candidates will combine strong technical proficiency with excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain electronic access control systems including card readers, door hardware, electric strikes, maglocks, and control panels.
- Run and terminate low voltage cabling (CAT5e/6, RS-485, etc.) for access control and related systems.
- Program and troubleshoot access control software and associated hardware.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans for system layout and installation.
- Perform system testing, inspections, and certifications in accordance with company and manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth integration and project delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, installations, and programming tasks.
- Provide technical support and end-user training on system functionality.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and local building/security codes.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in electronics or low voltage systems preferred.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing access control systems.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or multi-tenant environments is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- State-specific low voltage or security license, if applicable.
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
- Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Genetec, AMAG, etc.) highly desirable.
- Proficient in installing and configuring electric door hardware and locking mechanisms.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring and termination standards.
- Ability to efficiently troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined or overhead spaces.
- Comfortable on active construction sites or in occupied commercial buildings.
- Willing to travel to job sites throughout the Dallas region.
- Occasional overtime or after-hours work may be required.
