Lead Structured Cabling Technician – San Antonio, Texas

Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support structured cabling installations on commercial job sites
- Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable
- Test installed cable using Fluke or similar testers
- Punch down voice and data jacks
- Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, ladder racks, and pathway systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system layouts
- Lead crews onsite and ensure projects stay on schedule
- Install and support low voltage systems including access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems
- Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues as needed
- Work safely on ladders and lifts while following all site safety requirements
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial structured cabling or low voltage experience
- Previous lead technician experience preferred
- Strong experience with CAT5e/CAT6 installations and terminations
- Experience testing and troubleshooting structured cabling systems
- Ability to read blueprints and work independently
- Experience leading crews or coordinating work onsite
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
- Must have basic hand tools and standard PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots
- Working knowledge of telecom/data networks
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the San Antonio area as needed
