Low Voltage Cable Technician – All experience levels | Greensboro, NC

Next Level Technician is actively seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians for commercial and industrial opportunities throughout Greensboro, NC, and the surrounding Triad area!
We're hiring technicians with at least 1 year of hands-on experience , from developing Level I technicians to highly skilled Level III and Lead Technicians.
Opportunities may include structured cabling, data center infrastructure, access control, CCTV, fiber optics, and audio visual (AV) installations.
Responsibilities
Based on your technical experience and project assignment, duties may include:
Install, pull, route, dress, terminate, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
Install cable pathways, J-hooks, ladder racks, cable trays, cabinets, and patch panels
Perform copper cable testing and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Assist with or independently complete MDF/IDF installations and rack buildouts
Support data center cabling and infrastructure projects
Install access control devices, card readers, electric strikes, mag locks, and door hardware
Install and troubleshoot CCTV cameras and related security equipment
Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling
Support AV installations, including displays, speakers, projectors, and conferencing equipment
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications
Maintain job site safety, productivity, and quality standards
Requirements
At least 1 year of professional low voltage or related installation experience required
Experience in one or more low voltage specialties, including structured cabling, security systems, data centers, fiber optics, or AV
Understanding of cable installation methods, tools, and job site procedures
Ability to perform physical installation work, including using ladders and lifts as required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
Dependability, professionalism, and willingness to work with a team
Basic hand tools and required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and safety-toe boots
BICSI, OSHA, lift, and manufacturer certifications are a plus
Reliable transportation to project locations throughout Greensboro and surrounding areas
Experience Levels & Pay
Level I (1+ Years): Familiar with cable installation, routing, basic terminations, and installation tools
Level II (2+ Years): Proficient in installations, terminations, testing, and basic troubleshooting
Level III (3+ Years): Able to independently complete installations, interpret blueprints, and resolve technical issues
Lead Technicians (5+ Years Preferred): Experienced in crew coordination, advanced technical work, troubleshooting, and project execution
Compensation: $20–$30 per hour , depending on experience, skillset, and project requirements.
