Responsibilities:
- Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable
- Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers)
- Punch down voice and data jacks
- Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
- Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
- Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts
- Install/support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems
Requirements:
- 2+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience
- Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
- Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Working knowledge of telecom/data networks
- Willingness to travel to job sites within (region/state) as needed
Schedule & Project Details
- Monday-Friday
- Primarily first shift
- Occasional night work may arise but is rare and can often be handled on a volunteer basis
- Hospital environment
- Long-term work with a major upcoming project and continued team growth expected
- No vaccinations currently required
- A flu shot could potentially become a hospital requirement during the winter
