Responsibilities:
- Install Cat6 network cabling and fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode) in commercial and data center environments
- Terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber using LC and MPO connectors
- Perform cable routing, dressing, and management using cable trays and ladder racks
- Rack and stack network equipment including switches, servers, and cabinets
- Accurately label cables and maintain clean, organized installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, network diagrams, and project layouts
- Ensure all work meets industry standards for safety, quality, and performance
Requirements:
- 2+ years of commercial low voltage cabling experience (Level 2 Tech)
- Strong fiber optic experience (required) – including installation, termination, and testing
- Experience with Cat6 cabling in commercial or data center environments
- Familiarity with LC and MPO fiber connectors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus
- Must have basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to local job sites as needed
