Low Voltage Cable Technician – Structured Cabling & Data Center | Hillsboro, OR

Responsibilities:
- Install Cat6 network cabling and pre-terminated single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling.
- Work with LC and MPO fiber connectors for high-performance data center connectivity.
- Dress, route, and organize cables using proper wire-management techniques, including cable trays, ladder racks, and J-hooks.
- Rack and stack network equipment, including switches, servers, and other data center hardware.
- Accurately label cables, racks, and components to maintain clean documentation and organization.
- Read and interpret data center layouts, network diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all installations meet industry standards for reliability, safety, and performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in commercial low voltage or data center environments.
- Experience installing Cat6 and fiber optic cabling(pre-terminated fiber experience preferred).
- Familiarity with LC and MPO fiber connectors.
- Working knowledge of telecom, structured cabling, and data network infrastructure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced data center environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus.
- Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
