Responsibilities:
Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cable
Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
Terminate fire alarm panels and devices
Read and interpret fire alarm system layouts from blueprints
Troubleshoot and service existing fire alarm systems
Work safely on ladders and lifts (must be comfortable with heights)
Install and support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites, including schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities
Requirements:
2+ years of demonstrated experience with Fire Alarm Systems
Understanding of current NEC and NFPA code requirements
Experience troubleshooting fire alarm panels, devices, and system programming
Experience with Edwards, Silent Knight, FireLite, or similar systems preferred
BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
Must have basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Must be willing to travel to project sites throughout the Triad and surrounding North Carolina areas as needed
