Responsibilities:

• Install, route, and secure outside plant (OSP) fiber optic and copper cabling

• Perform underground and aerial cable placement, including conduit, innerduct, and handhole installation

• Pull fiber through ducts using proper tension methods and cable lubrication

• Splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode)

• Conduct OTDR and power meter testing to ensure proper signal strength and continuity

• Install and maintain enclosures, pedestals, vaults, and splice cases

• Read and interpret utility prints, splice diagrams, and construction drawings

• Follow all safety protocols when working around roadways, trenches, and active utilities

• Restore work sites to proper condition after installation

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on OSP fiber installation experience

• Experience with underground and/or aerial fiber placement

• Familiarity with OTDR testing and fiber troubleshooting

• Understanding of telecom infrastructure and outside plant standards

• Ability to operate trenchers, boring equipment, or bucket trucks (preferred)

• BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus

• Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Willingness to travel to job sites within Ohio as needed
