Job Title: Low Voltage OSP Project Manager

Next Level Technician is a premier staffing partner in the low-voltage and telecommunications industry. We specialize in connecting skilled professionals with top-tier employers nationwide. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced OSP Low Voltage Project Manager in Fredericksburg VA to join a growing team of industry leaders. Starting salary is $70-$80k based on experience


Position Overview:

As a Low Voltage OSP Project Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of outside plant low voltage infrastructure projects. You will manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, field crews, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Your goal is to deliver high-quality, on-time, and within-budget project results for our valued clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for OSP low voltage installations (fiber optic, copper, conduit, structured cabling, etc.)

  • Supervise field technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality and timely completion

  • Conduct site surveys, pre-construction meetings, and risk assessments

  • Create and maintain project schedules, change orders, documentation, and reports

  • Coordinate permitting, utility locates, and municipal inspections

  • Track project costs, materials, and labor hours to maintain profitability

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards (NEC, BICSI, TIA/EIA) and company safety protocols

  • Serve as point of contact between clients, internal teams, and stakeholders

  • Assist with estimating, bidding, and proposal development as needed


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in OSP construction or low voltage project management

  • Strong knowledge of outside plant systems: fiber optics, aerial and underground cabling, splicing, etc.

  • Proficient in reading blueprints, construction drawings, and GIS maps

  • Skilled in project scheduling tools (MS Project, Excel, or similar)

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally/regionally as needed

  • BICSI OSP Certification (preferred but not required)

  • PMP Certification (a plus)
