The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, execution, and completion of NCS projects. This role oversees project scheduling, materials, site readiness, field execution, quality, customer communication, and project closeout.
The Project Manager serves as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with field teams, customers, contractors, Estimating, Project Management, and internal departments to ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations.
Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of low voltage and structured cabling projects

Develop and manage project schedules, resources, and field personnel

Coordinate field technicians and resources to meet project requirements and customer expectations

Monitor project progress and make scheduling adjustments as project conditions change

Prepare and manage material requisitions based on approved Bills of Materials (BOM)
-
Coordinate material availability with project schedules to prevent delays
-
Monitor and evaluate material inventory throughout the project
-
Evaluate site readiness and identify potential issues that could impact project execution
-
Coordinate site access, badging, and required personnel documentation
-
Coordinate testing equipment and specialized equipment needed to meet project schedules
-
Monitor project quality and ensure NCS standards and customer expectations are met
-
Provide direction, coaching, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) to field personnel as needed
-
Assist with technical and skills training during new employee onboarding
-
Review and maintain project documentation and records
-
Prepare and review final as-built markups for customer drawing packages
-
Oversee project closeout documentation and obtain customer sign-off

Provide regular project status updates and reports
-
Attend site meetings, project walkthroughs, and customer meetings

Communicate project progress, risks, delays, and potential issues to customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders

Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule, quality, or customer satisfaction

Collaborate with Estimating, field teams, customers, contractors, and other internal departments
-
Ensure all project activities follow NCS policies, procedures, safety requirements, and project standards

Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, industrial, telecommunications, low voltage, structured cabling, or a related blue-collar industry

5+ years of project management or project coordination experience preferred
-
Experience managing construction, telecommunications, low voltage, or structured cabling projects preferred
-
Strong understanding of project scheduling, material management, field coordination, and project execution

Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
-
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, contractors, field technicians, and internal teams
-
Ability to work independently while also leading and supporting a team
-
Comfortable working in both office/project management and field environments
-
Ability to learn and effectively use new software and technology
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred
-
Comfortable using mobile applications and technology in the field

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-
Ability and willingness to travel as required

Authorized to work in the United States

Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
