Service Tech – Low Voltage Systems

As we scale our operations, we are seeking a qualified Service Tech to strengthen our field support and technical service operations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining high client satisfaction through efficient, timely issue resolution and technical leadership in the field.
Position Summary
The Service Tech will serve as the primary technician responsible for handling service calls, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting our field team through pre-configuration, testing, and occasional installation work. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic capabilities in access control, surveillance, alarms, and network systems, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond to service calls to diagnose and resolve issues related to:
· IP and analog CCTV systems
· Access control and intercom systems
· Low-voltage cabling and connectivity
· Alarm systems and general network infrastructure
· Configure and stage equipment in-house prior to deployment (NVRs, firewalls, switches, etc.)
· Assist with installation efforts as needed to support project deadlines or labor shortages
· Document all service work performed, maintaining records via CompanyCam and internal systems
· Communicate clearly with internal team members and clients regarding issue status, resolution, and system recommendations
· Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and secure inventory of tools and materials
· Participate in periodic on-call rotations and after-hours support when required
Qualifications
Required:
· Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage integration or service
· Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues across multiple system types
· Strong organizational and documentation skills
· Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (company service vehicle provided)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
· Experience or certifications in one or more of the following systems:
· Hanwha, Geovision, Uniview, LTS
· Ubiquiti networking equipment
· SonicWall firewalls
· PDK, Aiphone, Tektone, Linear access systems
· Alarm.com or Ajax alarm platforms
Work Location
· Technicians are based in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area
· Daily travel to local job sites is required; reporting to the office is not required daily
