Low Voltage Service Technician – San Antonio, Texas

Responsibilities:
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage systems at commercial job sites
- Diagnose and repair issues involving structured cabling, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, audio visual, and related systems
- Perform service calls, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades
- Troubleshoot connectivity, device, fire alarm, and network communication issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system layouts
- Install and terminate CAT5e/CAT6 cabling as needed
- Work with access control devices including mag locks, strikes, door contacts, and readers
- Support CCTV camera installations, replacements, and troubleshooting
- Assist with fire alarm device installation, troubleshooting, and servicing
- Document service work and communicate updates with project managers and customers
- Work safely on ladders and lifts while following all site safety requirements
Requirements:
- 2+ years of commercial low voltage service or installation experience
- Experience troubleshooting low voltage systems including structured cabling, access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems preferred
- Strong understanding of telecom and data networks
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls professionally
- Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Manufacturer certifications, BICSI, Lift, OSHA, and fire alarm certifications are a plus
- Must have basic hand tools and standard PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the San Antonio area as needed
