Responsibilities
- Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable, and fiber optic cabling
- Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers)
- Punch down voice and data jacks
- Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
- Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
- Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts
- Experience terminating and installing RJ45, coaxial, and fiber optic connectors
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience installing low-voltage structured cabling systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
- Experience with OTDR, power meter, and fiber test equipment
- Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
- Manufacturer or FOA (Fiber Optic Association) certifications a plus
- Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Willingness to travel to job sites within Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee as needed - Will travel with Access Lead in Company vehicle
