Responsibilities
- Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
- Test installed cable using Fluke or similar certification testers
- Punch down voice and data jacks
- Install racks, patch panels, cable tray systems, cabinets, MDF/IDF setups, and related infrastructure
- Work safely from ladders and lifts (must be comfortable with heights)
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and system layouts
- Install and support access control, CCTV, audio/visual, and fiber optic systems
Requirements
- 1+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred
- BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus
- Must have basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Working knowledge of telecom and data network fundamentals
- Willingness to travel locally to job sites throughout the Johnson City / Northeast Tennessee area as needed
