Next Level Technician is urgently seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician for an exciting and long-term opportunity in the Raleigh, NC area. This is a hands-on position, where you’ll work across a variety of commercial and industrial sites, including major contracts with NC State , Wake County Public Schools , local hospitals , and First National Banks . What You'll Be Doing:

  • Pulling, Terminating, Testing, and Labeling Cables: You’ll work with CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, and fiber optic cables —ensuring proper installation and network performance across various systems.

  • System Installations: Assist with the installation and termination of cable trays , racks , patch panels , cabinets , and MDF/IDF setups .

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret system layouts from blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of wiring and devices.

  • CCTV and Access Control Installations: Install and wire devices, including CCTV cameras , access control systems , and audio-visual (AV) systems . You don’t need to be a pro at programming and installing right away, but willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience is key.

  • Out-of-Town Work: Occasionally travel for 2–3 days to sites like Hickory or Gastonia . Travel will include hotel accommodations , per diem , and transportation. All travel is short-term, and you'll be home on weekends .

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA standards , during installations and site visits.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Hands-On Experience: Experience pulling and terminating cables for CCTV and access control systems . No need to be proficient in installations or programming yet, but strong wiring knowledge and an eagerness to learn are essential.

  • Tech-Savvy: We need technicians who are comfortable with technology and have a basic understanding of how security systems and devices work .

  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills for labeling , testing , and installing various systems.

  • Certifications (a plus): OSHA10/30 , Lift , and Manufacturer Certifications (Axis cameras, Honeywell alarms, S2/Continental access control systems) are highly preferred and may contribute to a higher pay rate.

  • Flexibility: Open to occasional travel for short-term projects, with all accommodations and travel costs covered.
