QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance Tech position available at a company in Monroe, WI that will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of their facility. This is a night shift position with the opportunity for hire. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while honing your maintenance skills and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintenance Tech Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular facility upkeep, including sweeping, cleaning, and trash removal.
- Record repairs and maintenance activities accurately for tracking purposes.
- Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
- Source and order parts and supplies as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Carry out painting duties at ground level; respirator use may be required.
- Use ladders up to 6 feet for maintenance tasks.
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical problems and support welding tasks if trained.
- Aid in boiler monitoring following site-specific training.
- Collaborate with vendors without supervision or sign-off responsibilities.
- Operate forklifts if certified and approved for safe handling.
Maintenance Tech Requirements:
- 2-3 years of maintenance experience with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to pass forklift certification.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety compliance.
