Location: Raleigh, NC

Next Level Technician is seeking experienced and motivated OSP Fiber Service Technicians to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC . This is a hands-on field role that involves installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic infrastructure with a strong focus on customer service and technical excellence.

You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing buried OSP fiber drops, splicing fiber, and performing service calls that require high-level skill, professionalism, and field independence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair issues with existing fiber optic wiring and buried drops

  • Locate, dig, and restore ground surfaces as needed for buried cable repairs

  • Install and splice both loose-tube and ribbon fiber

  • Use OTDR and other testing tools to ensure clean, high-performance splices and connections

  • Perform routine maintenance and service upgrades on the fiber network

  • Communicate with dispatch and supervisors to provide updates and ensure job completion

  • Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with customers

  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards


Requirements:

  • Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR and at least 2 years of driving experience

  • Physically able to lift/carry 50–75 lbs and work in all weather conditions

  • Comfortable working 3+ feet above ground level

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts when needed

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a working knowledge of fiber installation practices
