QPS Employment Group is hiring Production Associates for a company in Oelwein, IA! This is an associate-to-hire opportunity in a sanding and finishing facility. Please note: this role involves a high level of sanding (approximately 80% of the job), so candidates must be comfortable working in a dusty environment.
Production Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Perform sanding, puttying, scraping, and surface preparation
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Apply, wipe, and finish stain to meet quality standards
- Load and unload materials and finished products
- Assemble products and components per work instructions
- Package and box finished goods for shipment
- Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and proper labeling
Production Associate Requirements:
- At least 6 months of manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Ability to read measurements and use basic measuring tools
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds as needed
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout 10-hour shift
- Perform repetitive motions
- Work in a fast-paced, dusty manufacturing environment
