1st Shift – 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Thursday
Overtime:
Fridays as needed
QPS Employment Group is hiring Production Associates for a company in Oelwein, IA! This is an associate-to-hire opportunity in a sanding and finishing facility. Please note: this role involves a high level of sanding (approximately 80% of the job), so candidates must be comfortable working in a dusty environment.
Responsibilities:

Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

Perform sanding, puttying, scraping, and surface preparation

Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently

Apply, wipe, and finish stain to meet quality standards

Load and unload materials and finished products

Assemble products and components per work instructions
-
Package and box finished goods for shipment

Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and proper labeling
Requirements:
-
At least 6 months of manufacturing or production experience preferred

Ability to read measurements and use basic measuring tools

Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Strong attention to detail and quality

Ability to work well in a team environment
Physical Requirements:

Lift, push, and pull 50+ lbs as needed

Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout 10 hour shift

Perform repetitive motions

Work in a fast-paced, dusty manufacturing environment
