What You'll Be Doing:

Install, route, and secure low-voltage cable for security systems, access control, and surveillance (CCTV, badge readers, maglocks, motion sensors, etc.)

Terminate and label structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, shielded twisted pair, RS-485, etc.)

Assist in mounting and wiring devices like cameras, control panels, card readers, and electric door hardware

Learn to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics

Use testing equipment to ensure all systems meet performance and safety standards

Collaborate with team members and lead techs to meet project deadlines and exceed quality expectations

Maintain safety and cleanliness at all job sites

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Comfortable working on ladders, in ceilings, or tight spaces

Ability to use basic hand tools and follow written and verbal instructions

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check (security clearance may be required for some sites)
Bonus If You Have (But Not Required):

Previous experience with low-voltage, electrical, or cabling systems

Familiarity with devices like maglocks, strikes, relays, and control boards
-
Exposure to standards such as NEC, NFPA, or access control wiring conventions
-
Any certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, BICSI, or manufacturer-specific training)
