What You'll Be Doing:

• Install, route, and secure low-voltage cable for security systems, access control, and surveillance (CCTV, badge readers, maglocks, motion sensors, etc.)

• Terminate and label structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, shielded twisted pair, RS-485, etc.)

• Assist in mounting and wiring devices like cameras, control panels, card readers, and electric door hardware

• Learn to read blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics

• Use testing equipment to ensure all systems meet performance and safety standards

• Collaborate with team members and lead techs to meet project deadlines and exceed quality expectations

• Maintain safety and cleanliness at all job sites

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Comfortable working on ladders, in ceilings, or tight spaces

• Ability to use basic hand tools and follow written and verbal instructions

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Ability to pass a background check (security clearance may be required for some sites)

Bonus If You Have (But Not Required):

• Previous experience with low-voltage, electrical, or cabling systems

• Familiarity with devices like maglocks, strikes, relays, and control boards

• Exposure to standards such as NEC, NFPA, or access control wiring conventions

• Any certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, BICSI, or manufacturer-specific training)
