Safety Technician – Jobsite Safety Support

Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily jobsite walks to ensure technicians and leads are following proper safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Identify potential safety hazards and communicate corrective actions to field teams and project managers
- Ensure technicians are using proper PPE, tools, and equipment while working on active job sites
- Assist project managers with safety documentation, reporting, and jobsite compliance tracking
- Complete safety reports, incident documentation, and daily field reports
- Maintain accurate data entry and update safety records as needed
- Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure proper handling of materials and equipment
- Support toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing safety training efforts
- Monitor jobsite conditions including ladder safety, lift usage, fall protection, housekeeping, and general work practices
- Work alongside technicians and leads to promote a safe and productive work environment
- Provide support with additional administrative tasks related to project coordination and safety compliance
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a construction, low voltage, industrial, or commercial jobsite environment
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA standards
- Ability to identify unsafe work practices and communicate solutions professionally
- Experience writing reports, completing documentation, and performing data entry
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Responsible, dependable, and able to work independently in the field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to assist project managers with safety tracking and project support
- Must have standard PPE and safety equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots
- OSHA certifications (OSHA-10, OSHA-30) or safety-related certifications a plus
