We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Security Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related security solutions. This role involves working on-site at various commercial and industrial locations, ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation & Maintenance:

Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercom systems.

Run, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling .

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on installed systems.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions efficiently to minimize downtime.

Provide technical support and training to clients on system operations.
- Project Coordination:
-
Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics .
- Compliance & Documentation:
-
Ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical and safety codes.

Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in low voltage systems installation and maintenance .

Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting access control systems, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience:
- Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of IP networking, PoE switches, and basic network troubleshooting.

Ability to use tools such as cable testers, multimeters, crimpers, and punch-down tools.
- Certifications:

State of Texas Security Installer License (or ability to obtain).

Preferred certifications: BICSI Installer/Technician, OSHA 10/30, NICET, or manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Axis, Honeywell) .

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
