What You’ll Do
As the Technical Manager, you’ll oversee all technical operations, from managing field teams and supporting sales, to ensuring high-quality installations and driving continuous training. You'll be the go-to expert for hardware, software, and system implementation, while also playing a key role in quoting, quality control, and in-field support.
Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership and in-field support for installation and service teams.

Manage and mentor a team of technicians, helping them grow into future leaders.

Maintain a deep knowledge of the products and solutions we offer including Security, Fire Alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Surveillance systems.

Support the sales team by reviewing quotes and providing expert insight on new projects.

Create and implement best practices for installations, service, and customer support.

Develop and deliver technical training programs for staff and clients.

Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Conduct fleet maintenance oversight and manage company-issued vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Lead research on new technologies and recommend improvements to offerings.

Visit client sites to resolve complex or escalated issues with professionalism and confidence.
Who You Are
-
You bring 5+ years of experience in installing, programming, and servicing systems like Security, Fire, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Surveillance.

You’ve led technical teams before and know how to coach, train, and uplift others.

You’re solution-focused, calm under pressure, and motivated by helping others succeed.

You have strong communication skills and can collaborate effectively with both technicians and account managers.

You’re confident managing multiple projects and job sites within a 1.5-hour travel radius and don’t mind the occasional overnight stay if needed.
Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of low-voltage systems (Security, Fire, Access Control, etc.)

Comfortable with hands-on fieldwork, including reading plans and blueprints

Experience developing SOPs, training programs, and quality control procedures

Clean driving record; valid NC driver’s license

Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders
