Midwest-Based Data Center Foreman – Low Voltage & Field Operations

Join Next Level Technician as a skilled Data Center Foreman supporting large-scale data center and mission critical projects across Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. This role is ideal for experienced low voltage leaders who can manage crews, coordinate daily operations, maintain safety standards, and drive successful project completion in fast-paced data center environments.
Earn $60,000–$80,000 per year while leading structured cabling and fiber optic installations on high-profile commercial and mission critical projects.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise low voltage technicians on active data center and mission critical job sites
- Coordinate daily field operations with Project Managers and Superintendents
- Manage manpower, production schedules, and material workflow across multiple project areas
- Read and interpret:
- Construction drawings
- Rack elevations
- Floor plans
- Riser diagrams
- Scope documents
- Oversee installation and support of:
- Structured Cabling
- Fiber Optics
- Backbone Cabling
- Network Infrastructure
- Data Center Buildouts
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations
- Enforce OSHA, customer-specific, and site safety standards at all times
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and daily production planning
- Track project progress, timecards, material usage, test results, and field documentation
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide technical guidance to crews
- Mentor Helpers, Technicians, and Lead Technicians on best practices and installation standards
- Maintain professional communication with customers, contractors, and internal leadership teams
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in low voltage, structured cabling, or data center environments
- Prior Foreman or Lead Technician experience preferred
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and commercial construction environments
- Experience leading crews on large-scale structured cabling or fiber projects
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain production schedules in fast-paced environments
- Experience with copper and fiber optic installations, testing, and troubleshooting
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- BICSI Certification is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana
Travel & Schedule
- Extensive travel required throughout assigned regions
- Work schedules may vary based on customer and project demands
- Some nights, weekends, and extended travel may be required
